Ria has mixed linegage of German Warmbloodx and Curly Stallion (an unintentional pairing - oops).  She is equaly split down the middle, literally!  She has one curly shaped ear from her dad (which gets a little curl in winter) and one warmblood shaped ear from her mom.  It is quite comical to look at her when her ears are up and attentive.  Ria will listen when you talk to her.

 

Ria has the size and shape of her Warmbloodx momma.  She is a sturdy, strong red dun with a slight red dorsal stripe down her back.  She has great feet.  Ria is the alpha horse in the small herd of fillies, and she is cautious.   She has made it her job to be the herd protector and she has run off bears, snorted out coyotes and kept the others away from the fence when any scent of stallion draws near.  Ria remains cautious around us too and is often conflicted as to whether to come for pets (which she really wants) or keep on alert for the herd. 

 

Ria is certainly split - split lineage, split ear shapes and split loyalty.  She is unique.
